Concert crowds are supposed to roar when George Strait walks onto a stage. For more than four decades, the King of Country has watched tens of thousands of people rise to their feet at the sound of familiar songs, singing every word as though those melodies belonged to their own families. But according to an emotional story circulating among fans, one unforgettable night unfolded very differently. Nearly 40,000 people reportedly fell almost completely silent when a nine-year-old boy appeared near the edge of the stage, small and pale beneath the arena lights, carrying a heart-support device against his chest while waiting for a transplant.
